For Patients With Japanese Health Insurance

Our doctors will issue a prescription based on medical judgment.
Please take this prescription to a nearby pharmacy, where a pharmacist will dispense the necessary medication.

Payment for medications is handled separately from your consultation fee and will follow the copayment percentage indicated on your health insurance card.

In Japan, prescriptions are usually not filled at the clinic itself. Instead, you need to take the prescription to a nearby dispensing pharmacy, often marked with signs like “処方せん受付 Shohousen Uketsuke” (prescription accepted). The pharmacist will then prepare and provide the medication based on the prescription.
  • Prescriptions are valid for 4 days. If the expiration date passes, you will need to revisit our clinic to have it reissued.

  • Medications not approved in Japan or those that are difficult to obtain cannot be prescribed.

For Patients Without Japanese Health Insurance

Medications required after surgery (such as ointments and pain relievers) will be provided at our clinic and are included in the surgery fee.

If other medications are needed, a prescription will be issued based on the doctor’s medical judgment.
In this case, the full cost of the medications and pharmacy dispensing fee must be paid out-of-pocket at the pharmacy.
