General Foot Clinicgeneral outpatient
We provide comprehensive care for various foot and toenail conditions, including bunions (hallux valgus), hallux rigidus, plantar fasciitis, flatfoot deformity, numbness in the feet, Morton’s neuroma, chronic lower limb pain, ingrown toenails, calluses, corns, and warts (viral verruca).
Foot pain and deformities are often given names based on the part of the foot where symptoms occur. However, the root cause of most issues is the collapse of the skeletal structure of the foot. The foot serves as the foundation of the body and consists of many bones, far outnumbered by the ligaments and muscles that support them. If all these structures are maintained in the correct positions, problems do not occur. However, once weight-bearing causes the foot structure to collapse, the stress leads to symptoms such as pain or deformity, especially in areas where the distortion is greatest. In our General Foot Clinic, we assess how much a patient’s foot has deviated from the normal structure and work together with the patient to develop a treatment plan, considering factors such as condition, physical function, and lifestyle.
