Custom Insole ClinicCustom Orthotic Insoles
The medical insoles we provide are custom-made based on a prescription from our doctors and crafted by certified orthotists. Using insoles designed specifically for each patient’s foot helps realign the natural foot arch, reduce strain, and prevent foot problems. These insoles also improve walking function, reduce fatigue, and help prevent falls.
The total out-of-pocket cost for patients with 30% insurance coverage is approximately 20,000 yen. Please note that the payment method differs from that of regular medication; details are explained below.
Regarding the Cost of Custom Orthotic Insoles
① Fees billed by our clinic under health insurance:
Approx. 5,000 yen (for patients with 30% insurance coverage)
Covers consultation, examination, foot measurement, etc.
Payment method: Cash or credit card
② Manufacturing fees billed by the orthotic company:
Approx. 51,000 yen (full upfront payment)
Payment method: Cash only
Patients with 30% insurance coverage must apply for reimbursement of 70% of the cost from their insurer. If the insole prescription is approved under the insurance scheme, up to 35,700 yen (51,000 yen × 70%) will be refunded.
In total:
51,000 yen – 35,700 yen + 5,000 yen = approx. 20,000 yen out-of-pocket cost.
